A Note from the Dean
Dear Current and Prospective Hobbes Students,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Hobbes University online community. As the Dean of this institution, it is my hope that you are finding peace here, and following it. I hope you realize what a privilege it is to be a student at such a fine University, because, although all men are certainly equal in body and mind, the weakest has enough power to destroy even the strongest, best intentions.
I would also like to point out the importance of the Administrative community here at Hobbes. The importance of the covenant between every one and every one is undeniable, however, the sovereign professors and administrators attain a significant power. This is by natural force, because students submit to their teachers and mentors, and by the need to maintain order. We hope that you hold the highest respect for these leaders in our community.
The ultimate goal of the University is to supply you, the student, with an unmatched intellectual and social experience. Upon your graduation, it is my hope, and the hope of the Hobbes community, that you will recognize justice and injustice, revere your respective leaders, speak out against subversive doctrines, and strive to overcome the state of nature which is one of constant war.
